Riccia provides hiding places for aquatic life fry. Its straightforward to grow when you float them and does not enjoy heavy flow.
Frogbit has long roots that also provide shade and cover for fry.
Duckweed clovers stay less than 1/4 an inch at full growth, making them outstanding for small tanks and accenting. Also, it makes a terrific dried fish snack.
Salvinia provides lovely color and shade.
*salvinia is INVASIVE to NA. DO NOT use for ponds or natural waterways.
