Antique Sterling Silver Match Safe Vesta Case by Watrous Manufacturing (CT)This gorgeous match case or vest case is hand engraved with the initials CER in ellaborate letters.The W in a crescent stamp is the mark for the Watrous Manufacturing Co. of Wallingford, ConnecticutThe match safe measures 2 1/2 inches (62mm) tall, 1 7/16 inches (36mm) wide and 7/16 inch (11mm) deep.It is engraved CER and is in great condition. The lid opens and stays closed. The match strike at the base is in very good shape.There are no dents or serious scratches. It was hand-polished. There are light lines on its surface from age and regular use.It is stamped Sterling right next to the W in a crescent, which is the marker's mark.
